Cat Acquaviva
Cat's fascination with the body began at a very young age and first manifested during childhood with her dance training. She continued her studies at the University of the Arts where she earned her BFA in Modern Dance Performance and was honored for her unique and outstanding choreographic achievements.
Yoga Teacher. Doula.
Aside from being a physically driven individual, Cat is also passionate about pregnancy and birth, believing that positive change is inevitable if we choose to mindfully and peacefully bring children into this world. She studied with Deb Flashenberg and Nikita Makwell and received her prenatal yoga certification through The Prenatal Yoga Center. She completed her training as a birth-doula through DONA Intl. and has supported multiple moms and partners throughout the birth of their new babies.
As a yogi, a teacher, a birth doula and a human, Cat wholeheartedly believes
in the power that lies within our bodies.
Cat began practicing yoga 6 years ago. She quickly realized that yoga provided her with nourishment that the dance world did not offer. She joyfully completed her 200-hour certification through Pure Yoga with Alanna Kaivalya, Kay Kay Clivio and Adam Vitolo. Upon graduating, she studied one on one
with Alanna through a mentorship.
